ONLINE FIRE SPRINKLER PERMIT APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1. FIRE SPRINKLER PERMIT APPLICATION SUBMITTAL

The Beverly Hills Permit Center processes permit requests for fire sprinkler systems.

A Fire Sprinkler Permit is required before any installation, modification, repair, or removal of fire sprinkler systems can begin. This includes systems in new or existing buildings to ensure compliance with safety codes and standards. Work without the required permit is prohibited and may result in penalties. Per the Beverly Hills Municipal Code Section 9-2-501, a permit is required for any work that involves:

• Installation of new fire sprinkler systems
• Alteration, extension, or modification of existing sprinkler systems
• Routine repairs that impact system performance
• Relocation or removal of sprinkler heads or related equipme

Step 2. Staff Review

City Staff will review your application, and will be in touch with you if additional information is required. Please allow at least two (2) -three (3) business days for staff to review your application. After finalizing and submitting your request, you will be assigned a reference number. A notification email will also be sent to you with instructions. Please include the reference number if you need to ask questions or provide clarification regarding your application. Step 3. Payment

You will receive a CitySmart notification email after staff processes your application. The email will provide information, a breakdown of plan review and/or permit fees, and a link to the online payment portal.
